Build your Raiding Party
Discover and hire a wide variety of followers along your journey. Party members gain experience from combat and level up, with certain followers evolving into a veteran form at max level. Losing party members in combat may result in the player gaining new positive and negative traits.

Customize your Character
Complete missions and kill enemies to gain experience and level up your character. New attribute points are awarded as you gain levels. Spend attribute points on the Power, Speed, Resilience, and Awareness player attributes to improve your character statistics and combat performance. Each attribute is tailored towards a specific play style. For example, Power is geared towards melee combat builds, while Awareness is more beneficial for ranged combat builds.

Explore the world of Severance, a post-apocalyptic, war-torn hellscape reduced to a smoldering shadow of planet earth’s former glory. Shaped by the cataclysmic effects of a sixth mass extinction event, nature has completely disappeared and humanity is on the brink of total collapse.

Customize your Character
As you complete mission objectives and lose party members, your character may gain new positive and negative traits. These traits will bolster or reduce character statistics and may even provide new capabilities. The player can visit a local psychonaut to lock, unlock, and remove these traits at a cost.
Your character record consists of your: name, level, experience, rank, attributes, statistics, and traits.
Attributes: Power, Speed, Resilience, Awareness
Statistics: Health, Stamina, Gas Mask Filter, Magic
Traits: (positive) Attuned, Crazy Old Man, Diehard, etc., (negative) Careless, Corrupted, Perfectionist, etc.
A warning to the wary: you will be confronted by demons, and must choose an approach towards dealing with the darkness of daemonic possession.
Explore the World Map
The old world has become a necropolis buried beneath the earth. Demons and angels roam the wasteland in pursuit of their own goals or souls to prey upon. Most humans aren’t even human anymore, forced into an existence as Mecha to survive the harsh conditions of this broken planet. Ruled over by the omnipotent Dominion, humanity was forced to transform into Mecha against their will. Consequently, the ability to reproduce and make new humans has all but disappeared. Very few remain who remember the truth of this transgression against human beings.
The Dominion continues to grow across the globe, spreading like a planet-sized technological scab that snuffs out all biological life beneath it. Many factions still fight for and against the Dominion over border disputes and control of dwindling neutral territory. Journey across this divided, broken wasteland in a number of vehicles, including a Viking longship, airship, and a spaceship.
